English Task | Dialogue about the chairman of student council election by using offers and suggestions

Dilemma at The Chairman of The Student Council Election 

The chairman of the student council has been a prestigious event in schools because it has a crucial part in improving schools. In this election, both three candidates have amazing work plans, with little to none differences that are found. This confuses some of the students, including Joe, Asep, and Sekarmadji in this coronavirus pandemic

Joe: Hey! Is it Asep that I’m talking to right now?.

Asep : Well hello, do I know you?.

Joe : Yeah silly, it’s me Joe your chairmate don’t you remember??.

Asep : Oooooohh Joe! long time no see, I see that you have never gone outside if it wasn’t for this election am I right. That haircut of you seems kind of a mess haha.

Joe : Yea totally, because of this coronavirus pandemic kept me inside pretty well. I sometimes go outside when it’s necessary for instance when I go to get groceries, returning my books to school, and in this student council election. What about you? I think you should keep yourself too from going outside too Asep, how can your haircut is still looking neat?.

Asep : Yeah, I couldn’t agree more with you Joe. I rarely go outside, but when I do I keep myself hygiene by washing my hands to avoid bad things happening. And the reason why my haircut is still in a good shape is that my dad has always been a barber, he cuts my hair every time it looks off. If you want to have a haircut you can just tell me!. Anyway, since we are here for the election, who do you think is the better candidate in this election from those 3 candidates (Yuli, Sumaryono, Totok).

Joe : Good for you Asep!, I appreciate you for keeping your hygiene especially in these desperate times. For this election from what I’m seeing out of his vision about our school, I assume that Sumaryono has better ideas of what to do in order for our school to improve more. What about you?.

Asep : I myself think that Yuli is the one because girls tend to be more organized than boys and she does has a lot of work plans that correlate with school’s vision, I reckon that you should vote for her too Joe.

Joe : I don’t know about that tho but I do see your point, both have an amazing work plans that can work in any kind of circumstances. I think we should think about this more thoroughly because this could be a game-changer for our school.

Asep : Yeah dude totally.*Sekarmadji arrived at school*

Asep : Joe, isn’t that Sekarmadji from the class beside us right? We should ask his opinion on which candidates to choose.

Joe : Of course, I suppose that it is a splendid idea, let’s go!.

Asep : Sekarmadji!, how are you?.

Sekarmadji : I’m feeling great thank you, how about you?. You are Asep from XI Science 3 right?.

Asep : It is me Asep, I’m fine as well. So you are here because of the election right? Or is it because of something else?.

Sekarmadji : Yes totally, I’m here because of it.

Joe : Ooooh, regarding to this election who do you think is the best candidate for our school Sekarmadji?.

Sekarmadji : Hmmm, I don’t really know about that one though. Hey do you guys have eaten yet? I’m starving.

Joe : No we haven’t, May I interest you at my café on Bali street? It has decent food with low to ground prices.

Asep : Wow that seems interesting Joe, should we go now?.

Sekarmadji : Let’s go!.

*They have arrived at Joe’s Café*

Sekarmadji : Wow what a nice café that you have here Joe, but I don’t know why it has so little visitors than the other café near the school. Can promote this café Joe?.

Joe : I mean why not?, go ahead!. I should be the one thanking you!.

Asep : Yeah this café is amazing! you did a great job Joe, you should be an entrepreneur Joe you will do great on that!.

Joe : Aaaah thank you guys!. Anyway, what can I get you guys? some drinks or foods maybe??.

Asep : I think I’ll get the milo dinosaur one

Sekarmadji : I too will get what he wants, It looks tempting

Joe : Okay then coming right up!

*Drinks have been served and they have drunk it right away*

Sekarmadji : Hey Asep and Joe what about the election that we were about to discuss? Well, I do have my eyes on Sumaryono because of his work plans that suit well with our school, and also he has a lot of achievements that I think is a plus. We should vote for him for that.

Joe : I suppose that we are on the same track Sekarmadji!, I too believe that Sumaryono is the best candidate out of the three. We should definitely choose him, what about you Asep? Are you still holding on to Yuli?.

Asep : Hmmm right now I don’t know, it seems that Sumaryono is indeed the one, after hearing and contemplating based on your opinions, I have convinced my feeling to choose him. Shall we go to school and choose him right away?.

Joe and Sekarmadji : Okay hurry up! it’s getting late.

Asep : To save time I think we should run to get there faster.

Joe and Sekarmadji : Sure!

*They have arrived at school and chose the candidate of choice*

Joe : Well it was nice to see you guys, I’m guessing that it’s going to be a while for us to meet again

Asep : Yeah I guess it would, it’s sad to see what this pandemic has effected.

Sekarmadji : I’d say that even though we are going to get separated in a while, it doesn’t mean it’s forever right?

Asep : Of course we won’t and we aren’t. You can come to my house anytime if you want! , with obeying the COVID-19 protocols.

Joe : Sure we will. Welp, that’s my car goodbye guys it has been a nice day with you all!.

Asep : Well there’s my gocar. See you Sekarmadji! Greeting to your family.

Sekarmadji : Thank you, bye Asep!
